Dablon Vineyards wine selection will be on the tasting menu this Friday. This particular tasting is very near and dear to our hearts because the Vineyard itself is local — kind of.
Dablon Vineyards purchased 44 acres of land in 2009 in Michigan. Through the years they’ve created wines that are made with estate grown grapes. However, one year Michigan saw a particularly frigid winter and so the estate imported grapes to produce their wine. (Pssst ... Here is the “local” part.) Dablon Vineyards decided that they would name the imported bottles after their sister company here in Chicago. Thus the Music Box Theater bottles were born!
